About Me
I’ve found my voice in telling compelling stories and creating safe spaces for displaced families to overcome traumas.
My writing journey has been marked by perseverance. Out of 44 writing competitions, I’ve secured three victories. My first job involved writing health articles tailored to elderly and ill retirees. Despite the low pay, I loved weaving my passion into the job—researching every night and producing 2000-word pieces daily.
Transitioning from storytelling to composing various written copies, I’ve worked on jingles, ad scripts, research papers, CVs, and pitch decks. Curiosity has inked my pen. I began teaching others how to present their ideas through different types of writing—business, blogging, novellas, and dissertations.
With my storytelling skill, I honed the skill of creative sales by spotting target audiences and ‘sold them’ with my persuasion skills. I was hired as a Marketer without an interview, just by showing my hiring Manager how she might diversify her theatre content to appeal to new audiences! From expanding her social media following and community engagement, I mastered content creation, rapidly developing as a Creative Writer.
As a mental health advocate, I volunteer my writing to promote mental health literacy, publishing on websites and magazines. I also teach English in remote rural communities to students who cannot afford basic education.
On days when I am not writing, I typically always have a knife in one hand, and some chives in the other. I’ll be using the knife to slice and chop – working as a private family Chef, creating healthy recipes for families and new mums particularly via my Instagram handle @eathealthybymaam
I am drawn to families and juvenile in correctional institutions. So, I am contributing towards alleviating trauma in family relationships; creating social integration for children and women displaced from families and communities, and reuniting displaced homeless young adults. I have three Diploma certifications in Behavioural Health, Community Psychology, and Psychology. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling Psychology.
I am a Christian who believes in the gospel of Jesus Christ. For the past six years, I’ve volunteered with a Christian community, leading young adults, the creative and partnership departments. My interest in social concerns, community, and family wellness drives my work with the counseling team, providing mental health support and therapy education to women, new mums, and teenagers, and hosting talk shows.
I love mentoring and teaching. Inspired by my late dad, I aspire to become a Professor someday.
